I had to work the day we were supposed to leave for North Carolina. I thought the day would never end. All of my coworkers knew I was having surgery and wouldn’t be back for a week. A few asked me questions, I tried not to think too much about the surgery because I was very nervous about it. My boss left halfway through the day to go pick up some things for the office.
