I am thinking of having my sterilisation reversed, as off Yet I am awaiting my medical records to allow me to see how I was sterilized, knowing I have been sterilised can my eggs still be collect for ivf as I can not find any info on this any where or shal I continue down the route I am taking and having my sterilisation reversed, I hope u can help answer my wee questions many thank jackie x

Kelly – Tubal reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is more successful than IVF for most couples and costs about half of what a single IVF treatment cycle costs. Once the tubes are repaired, there is a chance to become pregnant every month, and more than one pregnancy can occur. For all of these reasons, I think tubal reversal is superior to IVF.

I was sterilised in 2007 where a segment of each fallopan tube was removed i would like another child with my husband but i am unsure as to wether we should have ivf or a tubal reversal all semen samples are good and healthy i hope to get a reply soon.

I had a tubal ligation in 2002 after the birth of my 3rd child. I previous to my 3rd live birth, I had a miscarriage due to RH incompatibility. I would like to have another child however am worried of the 50/50 chance of complications due to being sensitized. Would opting for IVF as opposed to sterilization reversal allow the chance to ensure a baby with RH negative blood?

Ok i want to know what this means. “Then using the Kleppinger’s fulguration of the right tube was completed in three contiguous locations and repeated on the left tube”? im lost with this because my records do not state cm or mm or anything i dont even know the amount of tube that was fulgurated..

i had a fulguration tubal ligation where my tubes were burned 3 times on each side.. me and my new husband want to have a child together is it possible for me to have a tubal reversal with fulguration and that many burns on each side? please help because i am getting so discouraged at this point.

Having a cycle day 3 FSH level will tell you if you still have a reservoir of healthy eggs. The cost for IVF varies greatly throughout the US. I don’t know what the cost for IVF is in England.

Now that I know that I no longer can have tube reconstruction and you have said that the best way for me is IVF, i know that you state about the birth rate, but i am 45 in very good health have regular periods and would like to use my own eggs. Is there a test that you do to see if the eggs are good. I really want a child with my new husband and i know in England they are a bit funny about older women and IVF or have other children also what is the cost for IVF? I was told by an IVF doc, that my chances with IVF were under 5%. Maybe I’m in denial, but my fsh level was 10 (normal) but my AMH level was very low. I am 42 soon to be 43 and I’m having my tr on 5/18 with Dr. B. I would like to be positive, but I must be realistic. How long do you wait after tr for the next step? I have regular periods, always have, have 1 daugher 16 and twins naturally 14. What are my chances for one more?

As long as you have regular periods then pregnancy is always possible; however, at the age of 49 IVF using donor eggs provides the best chance of having a pregnancy. Pregnancy rates with natural conception at the age of 49 is extremely low- less than 1% chance. When using donor eggs and IVF pregnancy rates can be as high as 50% at the age of 49.

I was told by my doctor that I cannot have a baby because I am 48 yrs old. I had my tubes tied when I was 22. And I have been thinking about one more child. Is it possible for me to get pregnant at the age of 49?
