I am 21 and had the essure procedure, strangely right after having it done I now regret it. I had thought I put so much thought into it I would ever regret the decision but look now I am. My doctor told me it was permanent so I feel such a sigh of relief that there is a reversal option. Who knows what marriage I may have in the future and I may want to make a family.

I would suggest for u not to do the esure. I had it done in march of 2010 and after having it done I have had a lot of pain when my husband and I make love. It hurts so bad that I’m looking into reversing it or removing the coils. I am very disappointed because the dr never mentioned that there was a chance it would hurt. The papers she gave me to read didn’t state anything regarding having pain during intercourse. Making love is very important to my husband and I. We make love just about evey day. I can’t take it anymore with the pain

I am 30yrs old have three children, 6yrs old, 2yrs old, & 5mths old. I felt pressured into getting my tuves done by my family and in laws, but it feels like I'm regretting the decision. This story gave me hope so I thank you.

i am so happy for the two of you i had two children and had a tubal ligation.then had a ligation reversal and had two more now i have the essure but i don't think i want to do it all over.lol

I had the Essure Surgery dont as well and now regret having it done, because now I am with the man of my dreams and want another baby and didn’t think it was possible! Thanks for the better out look on having a future child with the love of my life. If not being to nosy whats the amount estimated on that kind of surgery? Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations! I had the Essure put in 2 days ago. My husband and i share 1 baby together. I believe he wants a little girl in the future. I may consider Essure tubal reversal.

Your story gave me goose bumps…. and brought tears to my eyes… I didn’t have Essure but I know exactly how you felt with all of it.. the regret of doing it and then the worry if the Dr. can fix what we made a choice to do to ourselves… its a horrible, horrible feeling… And the day I had the money to finally call and schedule was the such a wonderful feeling second only to actually arriving in NC and surgery day… Thank you so much for sharing your story and good luck keep us posted.

I am SO glad to hear your story, I to am awaiting my reversal of the Essure. My iron level was too low which made my hemoglobin count too low! But if you know what's wrong you can fix it and I am. I will be going back to check my hemoglobin level as it has been a month since I started my iron regiment! I am sure I will be where I need to be! I have been looking and looking for someone who had posted good news about the length of their tubes after their Essure procedure. Thank you for raising my spirits tonight!! 11needles, Congrats on your Essure reversal! And your lengths are great. I can’t imagine having been told the only way to remove the coils was to have a hysterectomy. Makes me wonder how many other women are out there that have been told this and have given up hope…really sad. It is great that you were so determined and that you didn’t give up. I can’t wait to read the second part now. How long did it take to get back to feeling good after the reversal surgery?
