If the only major benefit to robot sterilization reversal is returning to work quickly, I'd have to agree with Sally-newer is not always better! Thanks, Dr. Monteith.

You have emphasized the additional expense, additional anesthesia time, the additional surgery, and increased miscarriages related to robotic tubal reversal surgery. These are serious considerations when choosing surgery methods.
Thanks for pointing out these issues for prospective tubal reversal patients.

I still like man over machine. Everyone is different amd I feel like the robot surgery assumes everyone is the same. Interesting reading material though.

Dr. Monteith, this is a very interesting comparison between standard tubal reversal surgery and the robotic tubal reversal surgery. To add to what Sally said, a procedure costing more and considered state of the art isn't necessarily the best route to take when considering the pros and cons.
