REGINA – The procedure you doctor is talking about is diagnostic laparoscopy. You can read about it by clicking on the link. It sounds as if the cervix is closed or stenotic. Dilating the cervix should allow for the HSG which it sounds like you were attempting to have today.

I am 37 years old and would like to have a Tubal Reversal. Today I went to the hosptial to have my tubs examined to make sure I did not have any scaring. The doctor tried twice to open my uters, but was unable to do so “doctor stated “uters will not open”. The doctor mention for me to call his office and schedule appointment to see if they could go through my navel to have a look at my tubs, while I am sleep. I am unware of this type of surgery. Please inform me of another means to go.
