Thank you for sharing this story. I too was pushed toward the tubal because it was my fourth child and happened to be a C section. I have regretted it for the past 8 years and every woman I know has done the same. I blamed my husband for not stopping me and that wasn't fair. It has affected me emotionally and physically.

I felt this type of guilt from the moment I walked into the hospital to have my tubal ligation. I didn’t realize others shared the guilt feelings so I really appreciate this blog. It’s been almost 20 years now and I still, on occasion, feel guilty . In addition to PTLS relief, I am hoping to relive this guilty feeling as well.

Thanks so much for sharing this story. I also made a quick decision to have my tubes tied. My husband asked me not to but went along with it. I have four kids one of them is my husband`s,and to top it all off that was his first child. So I feel like I have let my husband, God, and myself down. Sorry for the long response. I have been holding it in for along time now and to know that there is hope makes me feel better.Hope that one day I can stop living with the regret I deal with everyday for the last three years. Thanks to the Doctors and staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center for giving us hope.And congratulations Briana and may God Bless you and your family!

This is an excellent example of post tubal ligation guilt. There are many woman who come to the Tubal Reversal Center who have had similar experiences, a difficult labor, a quick decision, only to regret it later.
