Personal Stories About Tubal Reversal
Posted On: Monday, April 12th, 2010

Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center specializes exclusively in corrective tubal surgery.

successful tubal reversal happens at CHTRCMost of our surgeries are reversal of female sterilization and the other surgeries are to open blocked fallopian tubes which have been closed by scar tissue. In 2008, we performed over 900 tubal reversal surgeries and in 2009 we performed over 1000 tubal reversal surgeries.

As a result of our tubal surgery specialization, we are exposed to a diverse patient population which primarily has one goal in mind – to have another baby through natural conception.

Tubal Reversal Success Stories

In an effort to share information about tubal reversal success, Dr. Berger started a Tubal Reversal blog in 2007. The first article was entitled: Why This Blog? The second article followed shortly and was entitled: Tubal Reversal Squidoo. Since these first two articles there have been 202 articles published about various aspects of tubal reversal.

Some of the most notable articles have been our series about Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome and Tubal Reversal After Age 40. We have also highlighted the stories of women who have gone through extraordinary life experiences, some of them tragic,  prior to tube reversal. These couples are known as our Tubal Reversal Angels. Dr. Berger’s blog is the only professional blog dedicated exclusively to tubal surgery and the treatment of tubal infertility.

Personal Stories of Tubal Reversal Success

We have also used the reversal blog to highlight individual stories about tubal ligation reversal. These stories show the diverse backgrounds from which our patients come from and the many reasons they choose to have tubal ligation reversal surgery. These stories exist to provide information for women considering tubal reversal and to share experiences so readers of the blog will know they are not alone in seeking to reverse the ‘permanent’ impacts of female sterilization.

Personal Stories on the Tubal Reversal Blog

There are several personal stories in our ligation reversal blog. Occasionally patients have asked to blog about their experience in real time. The first patient to do this was Tanya. Tanya is also known by her Tubal Reversal Message Board sign-on name as Georgia Peach. Her first contribution was The Tubal Reversal Journey of Georgia Peach. Tanya began her blog when she started her tubal reversal journey and she is still blogging about her reversal experience.

We recently had another patient write about her story about her tubal reversal. Her name is Lauren and she goes by her message board sign on name: ‘meganORmatt’. The next article published will be Lauren’s first contribution.

Tubal Reversal Experience of Lauren

Lauren decided to start her story with how she met the love of her life, Bryan.

Many stories about tubal reversal are on the reversal blogHer story begins before she started her journey for tubal ligation reversal and is very representative of the personal stories and experiences of most of our reversal patients. Readers who would like announcements of new Tubal Reversal Blog publications can sign up at the end of this blog and will receive email announcements of new blog publications.

I had a nonreversal procedure done 8 years ago and I am now regreting it.

Maria – I am not sure what you mean by a “nonreversal” procedure. Most tubal ligations can be reversed and this is what we do every day at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.

  3. Why Tubal Ligation Reversal? Says:
