Im 36 years old and have had spotting once a month with cramps .i had an endometrial ablation done in 09 and a tubal in 02 . Can taking herbal vitamins help like vitex and don quai help thicken the lining.

As long as your tubes are open then pregnancy is possible. Your doctor should be able to order a HSG x-ray to check to see if your tubes are open.

I recently went to the hospital for massive right lower abdomen pain and I did test are test and my doctor just found out I have a infection in my right Fallopian tube and I have a cyst on my right ovary, which popped and I can’t imagine that is good. She also found a cyst on my left ovary …My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now and we have had no luck and we think that this is why. We are scared that we will not be able to have kids naturally and it is really effecting us. What can be done about this infection? I was told cysts can be removed but I am really concerned about us having a baby! Let me know what I can do!

But I too had a tubal ligation the day of my 5yr older birth. My obgyn at the time said chances of getting pregnant was 20%. So my question is. Can they really grow back after being cut and burned. It’s been 5yrs. Also to get that kind of info who should I go to to get my record. I don’t have that doctor anymore?

Getting a tubal was the WORST decision I have ever made! From the comments im glad im not the only one who feels this way! Lisa – We confirm that the tubes are open during the reversal procedure by passing a flexible stent through the tubal lumen and into the uterus. This is a sterile procedure and better that HSG testing since it is more accurate and there is no risk of infection.

I am a 38 year old who had novasure 5 years ago and no periods at all and Guess what I am currently 9 months pregnant after being told by an idiot doctor that I would never be able to get pregnant after have the ablation. I thought I was losing my mind like alot of you.
Then I found this and look we all are going through this same thing. Its all connected and no one professionally seems to be saying or doing anything to help us.
I had my TL 6 months ago at age 29.Now I have periods every two weeks. Headaches, dizziness, nausea,extreme moodswings, pains under belly button and in sides but I also developed what I was told was just a galbladder problem caused by the surgery.
There has to be something we can do. If nothing else we need to come together and form some kind of group to stand up and demand research, there has to be something we can do instead of suffer silently.
I know if you are like me, this is not only taking a toll on yourself but those around you. I just want to feel like i did before the TL.

Hello! I’m 31 years old and a mother of four wonderful kids. After having my last daughter who was born at 27 weeks weighing in at 2lbs. 5 oz. 14’ on July 2010 and almost losing our life’s, I decide to go ahead with a tubal Ligation this pass Dec. 2011. I’ve only had two Menstrual Cycles since my T.L. and my first one was perfectly well and on time. My second cycle changed and I got my cycle a lot more earlier which I didn’t think much about it because it’s normal for the cycle to change patterns from time to time but what freaked me out was that the instant I started my second cycle it was super heavy from the start. Almost two days into my cycle and I had an incident where I got up from a chair and went directly to the restroom because I felt like I needed to go pee. Little did I know that at the time I got up, I menstrual cycle just kept flowing and flowing to a point that I thought that it wasn’t going to stop. My menstrual cycle literally came out and was all over the floor and even half way to the restroom. This freaked me out because this had never happened to me before. I was alarmed and concerned but at the same time, I felt no pain and felt perfectly fine. Few days after the incident I set an appointment with my doctor and he mentioned that my ovaries were still intact that he did not mess with that but did say that due the strain my ovaries were put on due to the surgery I’d probably have a heavy menstrual cycle for the next four to six months, he also mentioned that he did remove my tubals completely so there was no way that I could refers my tubal Ligation later. Which to me was perfectly fine because I don’t want any more kids but was that a right thing to do?!? Some of the symptoms that I’ve noticed are whenever I eat, I can only eat so much before I start feeling nauseous and then I’m unable to finish my food. Another of my symptoms is that lately I’m feeling a lot more tired than usual and also stressed. Is this normal or did I just completely do a big mistake in having a Tubal Ligation?!? Anyone that can “PLEASE” give me comments or opinions, I’m open for anything. Thank You!!

i have recently had an xray on my lumbar spine, whilst having my xray the radiologist noted that there was metal in my stomach, further xray’s have shown up that one of my sterilisation clips has come off and migrated to my stomach,have i any cause to be concerned,i was sterilised in 1997, and have been having a lot of trouble with my stomach in recent years, or maybe this is just coincidental!

Kelly – Tubal reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is more successful than IVF for most couples and costs about half of what a single IVF treatment cycle costs. Once the tubes are repaired, there is a chance to become pregnant every month, and more than one pregnancy can occur. For all of these reasons, I think tubal reversal is superior to IVF.

If you have stopped having menstrual periods since the endometrial ablation, then you are probably well protected. But if you are continuing to have menstrual periods, then you the open tube should be blocked in order to avoid pregnancy.

I had the Essure implants & endometrial ablation done at the same time in October 2011. Recently when I went back for the x-ray & die, it showed one of my fallopian tubs still remains open. I had a tubal ligation and one day i felt faint and it felt like something dropped inside. A subsequent sonogram showed a “fragile” tube. Now I have pain in the space behind my rectum. Could the clip have fallen there? What type of xray/dr should i seek to check out the pain?

Hi, I am 37 years old and in 2003 I had laparoscopy, where was found endometriosis. In 2005 I had another laparoscopy but that time was ovarian cyst. In october 2006 I had HSG and my left side was blocked and right side half blocked. They wrote as a secondary sterility. I did try for years for getting pregnant but unsuccessfully. In august 2011 I was on scan because I had some problems and pain and they found again ovarian cyst. Since last november I do try some naturally treatment using Naturally Progesterone and I see my period changed and my PMS is disappeared. I have appointment for this week for scan and after that I would like to try unblock my fallopian tubes with laser. Do you think I have some chance to get pregnant after that? Thank you for your answer.

I had the Essure done almost 10 years ago and have only had minor side effects. Just recently I am showing more signs. I did see the more crucial menstrual cramps, but now am seeing the periods more frequently and lasting longer. I would sure like to have mine reversed. Plus I wouldn’t mind having another child.

i want mine out. but i will never beable to aford it on my own. i have 4 kids now. i do not no if my back is hurting all the time from the inplants or from some thing else.i had a exray on my back so i no it is not cancer. ever sence i had them put in. my back hurts.

I had my tubal ligation 9 yrs ago after my c-sec. I’m not sure if they cut, burned or tied them and my old ob-gyn is not working out of the same hospital anymore. what is my first move to take to get this moving. I’m 36 and fiance really wants kids. I would love to be able to have his baby but don’t really know where to start. how do i get on this payment plan? or get my medical records? is it even possible for me to get pregnant again???

I had a tubal ligation about 15 yrs ago.The Dr said he clipped, snipped, snapped & burned them. I’ve been wanting another baby for years & thought about having a reversal, but after the Dr showed me some pictures of what my tubes looked like inside it seems impossible. It looked like some of the tubing is not there. What can I do?

I had an ablation done around 6 years ago due to heavy bleeding while on Heparin (blood thinner). I am 42 years old and can not take any form of birth control due to having blood clots in my lungs from the birth control patch( which i was only on that for 3 months). I have always still had severe PMS and a little spotting every month. I have no insurance for a tubal. I am in a new relationship after 15 years of marriage and 3 years of being divorced. He asked me about whether i can get pregnant and I now I see that I can. What to do? and what is the percentage rate of getting pregnant? Thanks, Janet

Christine – Your ovaries are producing female hormones, but the uterine lining has been damaged and or scarred. A vaginal ultrasound scan can tell how thick the uterine lining is. That can be ordered by your local doctor.

Wow! I am a 36 yr.old woman of five. Reading all of these symptoms I suffer from all of them. I had a tubal ligation six years ago. I was told that my doctor used the method of using clamps for this. Almost two years ago, I had an my uterine lining burned as I had such heavy periods. At that time, I had been bleeding for almost 7 months straight. I would stop for a day or two, then start again. It was wearing on me and I was exhausted. My doctor kept telling me to just have a hysterectomy. I refused as I thought what if I change my mind down the road and want my tubal ligation reversed. I had always wanted more children but my husband did not. So, I agreed to do this. When I agreed to have my uterine lining burned, my doctor did not tell me how it may affect me being able to have children. He started to make a comment about children and then stopped himself and said “oh well, you have had your tubes tied so we don’t need to worry about that.” I had no idea that he was saying it would affect me not being able to have children. My husband and I later divorced and now, I am dating and realizing that I would love to have another child someday. I am dating a man now that has never had his own child and would love to have children. This is a concern in our relationship. I have not had periods since the last period. However, the last 3-4 months, I have started having the cramping. I had cysts on my right ovary before and it would cramp horribly at that time of the month. The last 3-4 months, I have been having the cramping there as well, my breasts are tender during that time, and I have the moods that go along with the periods. What are the chances that a reversal would be successful? Also, what could I do to help make it successful? I hear of people taking things over the counter that help with levels but I have no idea what I can do? Also, where would I even go to start looking in to finding out how thick my uterine lining is and so forth? Thank you for your help!!!
