Essure Reversal Or IVF
If you have Essure and have considered having another baby you should be aware you can have your Essure reversed.
Your options to have more children after Essure are in vitro fertilization (IVF) or surgical Essure reversal. There are no good medical studies which suggest the chances of pregnancy with IVF when the Essure coils are in place or what the risks to pregnancy may be; however, there are case reports of successful pregnancy with IVF when the Essure coils are left in place.
When patients come to our center to have Essure reversed we have discovered the chance of pregnancy ranges between 35% to 40%.
One significant benefit of having Essure reversed is you can become pregnant more than once.
