Tubal Reversal Patient Satisfaction Messages ‘HSG’
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 I had my tubes reversed when I was 39. I am 41 now and 17 weeks pregnant with a little boy. We had given up hope. The HSG performed 14 months ago was said to show blocked tubes. Well, against the odds if happened. I guess there are greater powers at work out there. I have been a nurse for 15 years now and have been able to help many people, and I just wanted you to know I am thankful for your help.
Date tubes reversed: April 2008
Positive pregnancy test: May 29 2009

Saturday, August 29th, 2009 Thank you so much Dr. Berger. It has been a long hard road – but worth the trip. Praying this is my sticky bean! We lost my father-in-law in Monday and I can’t help but think he put in a good word in for us!

Sunday, August 16th, 2009 We are really thankful to have a second chance. Thank you Dr. Berger and Staff. We are truly blessed. I will be going in on Monday to start my testing. I had an HSG test done on 7/24/09, and was told my tube was wide open and was very surprised by how soon it happened. I will keep you posted. I am and excited and nervous all in one. Thanks again!

Sunday, June 21st, 2009 Dr. Berger, This is my second pregnancy after my tubal reversal. I have a daughter who was born 2/20/2007. I was told both tubes were blocked after an HSG in 5/2006, but a month later I was pregnant. They told me it “just happened by chance and probably would never happen again.” Well, I guess they were wrong, because I am pregnant again. I have not seen a doctor yet, but I will make an appointment soon.
Date of tubal reversal: 9/26/2005
Positive pregnancy test: 6/19/2009

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 I can’t believe it!!!! I was told I had “bilateral tubal blockage” a few weeks ago when I had an HSG. Doctor Berger disagreed and said the HSG (hysterosalpingogram) films were inconclusive – and he was right. I had my Beta HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin, the pregnancy hormone) done today – results expected tomorrow.
Thank you so much for a second chance.

Monday, January 19th, 2009 To: Dr. Gary S. Berger
Subject: HSG Today
I just wanted to tell you thank you! I had my HSG this morning and it only took 3 minutes and the dye flowed beautifully through both tubes. I didn’t know if you wanted a copy of the film since they were positive, or not. Just let me know if you were interested.
Thank you so much again… I have even greater hope now! I was amazed at how quickly it flowed – you did a great job! I hope to get that BFP soon. Thanks again

Reply by Dr. Berger:
Thanks for the good news, Carol. Yes, I always like to examine the HSG films myself so please ask the radiologist to send me the x-rays or cd to examine. I am hoping that you will be sending news of a positive pregnancy test in the near future.

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 Since my TR I went to 3 different Reproductive Endocrinologists who all said there was “no way I could become pregnant” since my HSG showed “blocked” tubes. They pushed me toward IVF. DH didn’t want us to conceive a child using IVF, so we just decided it wasn’t meant to be and just forgot about it. We stopped monitoring ovulation and just went on with life as usual, which explains why 1 day after my period was late I didn’t think anything of it.
By the 3rd day I realized I was feeling nauseous every morning, so I rumbled to find an old PG test I had and didn’t believe the results. I went to the store and bought a double pack and both were positive. I called my doctor and my HCG levels were over 1900. I went into his office that afternoon and he did an ultrasound which showed the gestation sac in the uterus, with a normal yoke sac. I even heard the baby’s heart beat. He is doing an US every 2 weeks, just to monitor things because of my age, but he says I should have a normal pregnancy. I will keep you informed.
