Hello Dr. Berger,

My name is Lisa. I do not know if you remember me. I had my tubal reversal surgery on 5/21/09 and had my consult with you the day prior. During my consult, I had mentioned interest in possibly doing a blog for Chapel Hill and you had said that it would be OK, and to let you know. I was going to wait, but I decided I liked the idea of writing a blog about my journey on the road to having my TR done with you, and how I feel so soon after. I was hoping it was still OK, and if so, if it’s OK to mention the loss of my son, prior to having my TR done with you, and the struggles and decisions I went through, factoring into having the reversal and how I feel now.

I would be thrilled, no honored, to be able to do a blog on your site. I am still in a state where words could never express my gratitude toward you for helping make me feel like the future is a little brighter, a chance to possibly have another baby to give my angel possibly a baby sibling, and his big brother another sibling, but one here on earth. While I will never forget my angel and he will always remain my second child, and my heart… well, let’s just say, I hope that my angel likes the idea of maybe having a younger brother or sister to watch over! It is nothing short of a blessing and an honor, and that feeling that I feel, I owe all to you! I could not feel that without the surgery you performed my tubal reversal for me. Endless thank you’s to you and all your staff, I only wish there was something more I could do in order to show my sincere gratitude!

This is my second pregnancy since my tubal reversal in 2006. We have a beautiful boy Carter Edward who will be 18 months on the 20th.

I will be going in next week to start my blood draws and will stay in touch!

More Information on Second Pregnancy

I had my tubal reversal in the summer of either 2003 or 2004 and found out I was pregnant in November of that year. I miscarried in December of the same year. It is now 2009 and I just found out I am pregnant again at age 38. My HCG level was 375 and I am having another test done tomorrow.

My oldest son is now 18 and my youngest will be 16. I have wanted a baby for so long and was scared from the miscarriage before. I am doing a lot of praying. Any information to make me feel better about this would be welcome. Jennifer was wonderful on the phone tonight and very helpful to me. Thank you very much for your help through these years, and let Dr. Berger know he is a God send.

More Information on Pregnant Again

Dear Dr. Berger -

I miscarried my first pregnancy following my reversal in June 2008. I was only a month or so pregnant at the time. But I quickly became pregnant again. We now have a little boy due June 29, 2009. We can’t wait to bring our little Cody home! Thank you for this wonderful gift.

Dr. Berger,

This is certainly an email long overdue to you, but we were talking about you this weekend. You operated on my wife Wendy this summer. We already have 3 healthy boys, so the main reason we had the reversal was because of how my wife was feeling ~ it was terrible! I am sure you can see everything she was having problems with in her file.

So a long story short she is feeling great now and running 6 miles a day again! All of this is really due to your tremendous talent as a tubal surgeon and we do really appreciate it. She is going to walk in the Chicago Avon Walk in June to help others, even though we are not affected. Just her way of helping some of our friends and give back as much as she can.

Please feel free to pass my name along to anyone that is thinking of going through the procedure as I would be happy to share my experience. My only regret is we did not do it earlier!

I gave birth to my 2nd reversal baby on Nov. 20, 2008. I had a baby girl – 7lbs 9oz, 20″.

Dr. Berger is so gifted at what he does. I am forever thankful for my 2 miracle babies.
