Tubal Reversal Patient Satisfaction Messages ‘tubes’
Saturday, September 5th, 2009 I was very pleased with choosing Dr. Monteith. He was only able to open one of my tubes but this was not his fault. My doctor had been way more aggressive than described in his operative reports. I don’t think if I would have went anywhere else they would have even be able to do as much as Dr. Monteith.

Monday, August 17th, 2009 Just wanted to let you all know now because I couldn’t wait until 20 weeks ! I went and had an ultrasound and we are having a girl. She was moving like crazy we almost didn’t get to see her sex because she kept pulling her legs up and crossing them. She cracks me up already. Thank you to all you ladies of the Tubal Reversal Message Board for your support and thank you Doctor Berger for fixing my tubes so wonderfully.

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 Dr. Berger is a miracle worker. At my age 41 and the length of my tubes after reversal, I had a very small percentage of becoming pregnant but it happened. Thank you, Dr. Berger and staff.

Saturday, July 11th, 2009 Well, this is my 2nd pregnancy since my tubal reversal surgery. It has been a whirlwind of emotions during the last 2 months. I am trying to be hopeful for this time will bring our little miracle! I have tried to stay positive after the blighted ovum that at least my tubes worked. And it really did not take too long to get another positive test again. (only 2 cycles). I have a call into my OBGYN for my first blood test already.
Date of tubal reversal: 12/19/2008

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 I had my tubal reversal surgery November 2007. After a year and a half of trying I finally had a positive pregnancy test on Mothers day 2009. Sadly, I lost my baby on the 16th of May. I was five and a half weeks pregnant. I am glad that I finally had a pregnancy as the doctor had put in my head that my tubes are not working, but am very very sad that that I lost my child. I hope when I get the strength to have a baby again it will be full term. Well, I just wanted to let you know what is going on.
Thank you and take care. I will keep you posted when I do have a success. Please tell Dr. Berger hello and thanks for everything.

Thursday, March 19th, 2009 I had TR on 03/11 with Dr. Monteith. From the time I scheduled I knew I made the right decision. Our trip was very pleasant. We used Janice for transportation and she was the sweetest. I am telling you if you are thinking of using her, do! Our flight was delayed and she was very good about it. She was waiting with a sign and took us right to Dr. M.
The staff at CHTRC were amazing! I can’t remember everyone’s names, sorry. I called in a panic on Monday evening because my flight was delayed and I couldn’t make it in on time for my consult. I believe I spoke with Erika who said just come in from the airport, so that put my mind at rest.
Pam gave me my iv and it was one of the easiest I have had. Dr. Monteith of course worked his magic and I was left with 6 cm on both sides and tubes in excellent condition.
I felt like I was their only patient and would recommend Chapel Hill to anyone considering TR.

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 Dr. Berger -
I just wanted to update you and let you know that we have had 3 ultra sounds and we actually saw the heartbeat today. We are 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant as of today. I just wanted to thank you for all you did for us and for listening and reviewing our films when we were told that both tubes were blocked. You gave us hope when you said that you thought the test was inconclusive and you were right!!!
Thanks again and we will keep you updated.

Monday, January 19th, 2009 To: Dr. Gary S. Berger
Subject: HSG Today
I just wanted to tell you thank you! I had my HSG this morning and it only took 3 minutes and the dye flowed beautifully through both tubes. I didn’t know if you wanted a copy of the film since they were positive, or not. Just let me know if you were interested.
Thank you so much again… I have even greater hope now! I was amazed at how quickly it flowed – you did a great job! I hope to get that BFP soon. Thanks again

Reply by Dr. Berger:
Thanks for the good news, Carol. Yes, I always like to examine the HSG films myself so please ask the radiologist to send me the x-rays or cd to examine. I am hoping that you will be sending news of a positive pregnancy test in the near future.

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 Since my TR I went to 3 different Reproductive Endocrinologists who all said there was “no way I could become pregnant” since my HSG showed “blocked” tubes. They pushed me toward IVF. DH didn’t want us to conceive a child using IVF, so we just decided it wasn’t meant to be and just forgot about it. We stopped monitoring ovulation and just went on with life as usual, which explains why 1 day after my period was late I didn’t think anything of it.
By the 3rd day I realized I was feeling nauseous every morning, so I rumbled to find an old PG test I had and didn’t believe the results. I went to the store and bought a double pack and both were positive. I called my doctor and my HCG levels were over 1900. I went into his office that afternoon and he did an ultrasound which showed the gestation sac in the uterus, with a normal yoke sac. I even heard the baby’s heart beat. He is doing an US every 2 weeks, just to monitor things because of my age, but he says I should have a normal pregnancy. I will keep you informed.

Friday, January 2nd, 2009 Hi, my name is Beth. I had TR surgery in November 2001 with Dr. Berger. I was 35 at the time and my husband was 22. Fourteen months later we were pregnant with a beautiful baby girl. Sydni was born September 19 2003 and is a true blessing to everyone – she is 5 now.
We thought maybe my tubes had closed back up but for Christmas we got a very special surprise. We are pregnant again 7 weeks along and counting, and I am now 42! I have 2 older kids from a prior marriage that are Jenni, 21 and Andrew 23. They were very surprised at Christmas, but are so happy!!!
God is good and he works in His time, not ours, so to all who are longing for another child – go for it – but don’t forget to pray!!
