History of A Personal Choice

Dr. Monteith joined Dr. Berger’s staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center as a tubal ligation reversal specialist in 2008. After five years and over 1200 tubal surgeries, Dr. Monteith was promoted to the Medical Director of the reversal center in 2013.

In 2014, Dr. Monteith relocated the specialty center to its current location in Raleigh, North Carolina. This move provided his tubal surgery patients a newer surgical facility, better hotel accommodations, outstanding access to restaurants and shopping, and closer access to Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Dr. Monteith used this move as an opportunity for a new beginning and he renamed the practice A Personal Choice because he believes all patients should have the ability to make personal choices about their fertility desires without the undue influences of others.

I seen someone commented saying original price of 6400 before this increase… I was told it was $7500 before the $400 increase. I’m locked into the original price. But is it $6,400 or $7,500?

    1. Dr. Monteith says:

Reversal of regular tubal ligation was $6,400. Reversal of Essure tubal ligation was $7,500. If you have a RPA then those were your locked in prices

    Pricing rising:
Im currently working on dropping some weight. Had it planned to schedule my surgery for this summer ‘19. If I pay in advance or get on payment plan will I still get original price 6400? How far in advance does one need to call to schedule surgery?

    1. Dr. Monteith says:

If you start a prepayment plan before April 1st then you will lock in the lower rate. You must have surgery within 3 years. If you are unable to drop the weight and have surgery within 3 years then you would have to close your account.
