Cut Tied And Burned Tubes: Can You Get Pregnant? – Testimonial #1156

You can reverse a tubal ligation if the tubes have been cut, tied, and burned.

Many women will ask us if you can reverse a tubal ligation if the tubes have been cut, tied, and burned. The answer is yes!

When a doctor does a tubal ligation they will often tie off a small portion of the tube to prevent bleeding when the tube is cut. Then they will then cut and remove a small segment of the fallopian tube and then lightly burn the very ends of the cut tube to prevent bleeding and to further insure the tube will heal closed. As long as the coagulation (burning) is not extensive each tube can be repaired. In general, about 3 out of 4 patients with cut, tied, and burnt tubes will be able to become pregnant.

This photo of Baby Paityn was sent to us by his proud parents, Tammy and Zane. Baby Paityn was born 11 months after Tammy had a reversal of her cut, tied, and burned tubes at A Personal Choice.

The photo of Baby Paityn should go a long way in proving pregnancy can occur after tubes have been cut, tied, and burned.
