I was finally able to get a copy of the pathology report from my TL. I'm still waiting for the post op report, the Army had them at different facilities. So, I don't yet know what type of tubal I had done, but it sounds like they only took .5 cm from the right tube and 1 cm from the left during the TL. I'm hoping that this will put me in a good position to have the TR done and that I'll come out with good lengths!? The Army said that I should have the post op report next week, so I'll be able to have Dr. Berger look at it soon- YAY!! Which is good, because I don't understand much else on this report and I'm anxious to get this process going! Until then I wait and wait some more ....UGH!
Thank You all for being so honest and supportive on here. This message board is a Godsend and I know I'm in the right place! Take Care. -Donielle DH-34

Good luck with your upcoming surgery. It really depends on what kind of TL you had. My tubes were cut and carterized so even though they only took about 1.5 cm on each side, post surgery I have 4.5 cm on each side left. Those are good, not great, lengths. It sounds like you'd have even more left than me and would have a successful outcome. Only Dr. Berger and his staff can give you your best chance scenario.

Those are very small amounts, so that looks good. But like the previous poster stated it will depend alot on the tl type. Good luck!

Hi Donielle, You can also look at our webpages with the different types of tubal ligations and also look at the pregnancy statistics for your age group and tubal ligation. We look forward to having you as a patient in the future! Sarah

Donielle, What type of tubal ligation did you have? I had a Pomeroy and I had .5cm taken from each side...and I ended up with 9 cm left on both sides. Hoping the same for you! Diana Miller

Dear Donielle,
I am glad to hear that you are wanting to come for surgery this summer. With the lengths that you mentioned we would anticipate adequate lengths remaining after tubal reversal surgery. We have seen pregnancies will all different lengths of tubes remaining after surgery. I know that you will find lots of information and support here on the board. We do not have to have your operative report to acutually schedule your appointment. Dr. Berger is able to repair the tubes in 98% of the cases. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if I can assist you in taking the next step to scheduling your appointment. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions that you may have. RhondaB@tubal-reversal.net Rhonda

Diana-
I'm still waiting for the post op report, so I'm unsure of what type of TL I had done. I was just going by the pathology report. I'm hoping to have the post op sometime this week. The Army says that it's on the way.
9 cm, that is Awesome!! Those are the longest lengths that I have heard of. That would be so great! When did you have your TR? Do you have any TR babies? I'm just wondering with those lengths how it's gone for you?
Thanks again for all the help. Take Care. -Donielle
