Paying For Tubal Reversal Surgery
CONSIDER STARTING A REVERSAL PREPAYMENT ACCOUNT

Although tubal reversal surgery may seem unaffordable, if you want another child then
tubal reversal surgery is the most affordable treatment option.

A Reversal Prepayment Account (RPA) is unique to our practice and offers a great way to save for surgery.

Why is tubal reversal affordable?

Tubal reversal surgery performed at our center is affordable and successful.

Consider the alternatives:

  • In-vitro fertilization (IVF) averages $14,000 per cycle
  • Hospital tubal reversal costs over $15,000
  • US based adoption is over $25,000

Not only are these alternatives more expensive than tubal reversal surgery at our center, but health insurance plans consider all of these treatments (tubal reversal surgery included) elective, non life-threatening procedures. They do not pay for these procedures.
We understand the desire to have a child is extremely important.

A unique way to save for tubal reversal surgery

We assist couples by maintaining a financially responsible prepayment account savings plan. Our RPA is unique to our specialty center and you will not find many other doctors who offer such a savings plan.

When you open an RPA you can save towards your surgery over time. When you have the full amount you can then schedule surgery. If you change your mind, you can close your account at any time.

3 Simple steps to opening a
Reversal Prepayment Account

  1. Complete a prescheduling interview to insure you are a good candidate for surgery
  2. Open your RPA with a minimum of $500
  3. Completely fund your RPA account within 36 months

Benefits of Reversal Prepayment Account

There are many benefits to our Reversal Prepayment Account (RPA).

  • Allows you to gradually save towards your surgery
  • Allows you to avoid high financing charges associated health financing plans
  • Allows you to obtain discounted surgery rates when these rates are available
  • Allows you to lock in your surgery fee against future rate increases

You would have to apply to the companies directly. Links are found on our webpage under financing and your credit score determines if you can get the loan.

We have two flexible payment options for you if you dont want to pay in full for surgery: (1) start a prepayment plan with us or (2) finance with either CareCredit or United Medical Credit.

Prepayment plan. We do have a prepayment plan that allows you to save towards your surgery. You need to start it with at least $500 and you can contribute any amount over the next 3 years. When you have saved the full amount then you can have your surgery. You can have the surgery anytime within 3 years of starting your plan.

If you dont have your surgery by the end of the third you you are refunded all of your money less $500. Surgery discounts, when available, are offered to prepayment account members only.

We charge $6400 total plus $125 to schedule and we are located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Insurance will not pay for tubal reversal surgery.

You should send us your tubal ligation records for a free review.

Patients pay in full and out-of-pocket at the time of scheduling. All you have to pay for in addition to the surgical fee is the cost of travel, hotel, and food. Patients stay in Raleigh a total of 2 nights and 3 days. The consultation is the first day, surgery the second day, and postoperative visit is the third day.

We do have a prepayment tubal reversal plan that allows you to save towards your reversal over a 3 year period.

Although $6,400 seems expensive…the alternative treatment in-vitro fertilization (IVF) average $12,000 to $14,000 and is about 40% successful!

The main advantage to tubal reversal is that every month you have a chance and you can become pregnant more than once. On average, about 2 out of every 3 women become pregnant with tubal reversal surgery.

I had my tubes tied in 2002, I had a tubal pregnancy in 2012, where my left tube and ovary had to be removed, I am 36 and would like to have another child, will this procedure work with only one tube and ovary?

    1. Dr. Monteith says:

We have many patients who have reversal of one tube who become pregnant after tubal reversal. For more information: Testimonials after reversal of one tube

Even with one tube reversed you have a good chance of becoming pregnant…and your chance is really good if you have one tube and one ovary that is on the same side as the one remaining tube.

If you send us your tubal ligation records we can review them free of charge. We charge $6400 total plus $125 to schedule and we are located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
