We are calling the doctor for blood work today. We are praying for the best, but whatever happens we are so thankful that the choice to conceive is ours again.

Thank you Dr. Berger for taking my PTLS symptoms away. That was our primary reason for the surgery. Also, thank you now for the possibility of future children. We will keep you posted on our outcome.

I believe my tubal reversal was performed in January 2007. Approximately, 3 months later I had a tubal pregnancy. My right tube became completely blocked and deformed, and there was a lot of adhesion. Approximately 1 year later, after unsuccessfully trying to conceive naturally, my husband and I tried artificial insemination to see if the one unblocked tube would work. When this didn’t work, the doctor recommended IVF. We became pregnant with triplets on our first try (now 9 months old).

MUCH to my surprise, my husband and I are now 6+ weeks pregnant, naturally. Although we are thoroughly surprised, we feel truly blessed and are thankful for all of the help that Dr. Berger and his staff provided. We also wanted to make sure that we shared our success story so that others don’t lose hope.

Dr. Berger,

I just wanted to update you on my status – I am pregnant again. I had no plans on conceiving until after my September 25th cycle. Well, on September 25th, I had very light spotting and very light spotting on Saturday. Towards the afternoon on Saturday and towards Sunday, there was nothing to be seen. I decided to run a pregnant test on the 27th. It was a very,very,very light positive but it was there! I tested again on the 29th and the 30th, which all turned out to be a darker positive. I go for my 1st HCG blood draw today.

Thanks to you and your staff BUT ESPECIALLY YOU, because you are the man with the hands…. smile….. I am able to conceive! I thank you so, so much and I hope and pray that this pregnancy is a happy healthy 9 month pregnancy. Thank you again!

We were thrilled to learn that we were pregnant so quickly! Dr. Berger noted that my condition was “guarded” since my tubal length was so short – we figured that it may take a while to conceive. Dr. Berger truly assists in performing miracles – the rest, of course, was up to God and us!

Dr. Monteith,

I want to thank you so much for all you do giving women another chance at the life chain. I will be so happy if I am able to conceive again. I will keep praying that all will be good. I will let you know how it goes as soon as I know something. We have bought an ovulation kit and will start trying when I have my next period.

God bless you for all you do. I am enjoying a few days off. I will return on Thursday. I enjoyed staying at the Sheraton-Chapel Hill. They were very nice to us.

More Information on Conceive Again

This is my 2nd pregnancy since my tubal reversal by Dr. Berger. I have been trying for 2 years this time – it took 1 year with my 1st TR baby.

I’m 41, DH is 50, and we didn’t use clomid this time – just charting, herbs & opk. Please post for inspiration to the other over 40 moms trying to conceive.
