I am going for my tubal reversal in November. I am 39 and had my TL about 6 years ago. My partner and I want a baby very much and we are coming from the UK to Dr. Berger in Chapel Hill because there are no facilities like Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center in the UK. I am really worried about my age too, but we have to try everything possible to have our baby. Is anyone else coming from the UK, or has anyone else already been and got pregnant?

I turned 37 in June of this year and I have two children already and would love to have at least one more. Thanks guys for the encouraging responds. This is something I have really thought hard about and $5500 isn't a lot of money. So tell me in what city is Dr.Berger located?

Dear LadyLegend:
I too had a tubal ligation without knowing a whole lot about the actual surgery. My doctor did not keep an operative report. I don't know what I am in for at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, but $5500 is nothing compared to the possibility to take part in one of God's miracles - A Baby.
My doctor is not around either. He retired, then passed away. I contacted the hospital and got the entire chart from that surgery, nothing. The only thing I got was the pathology report that said 1.8cm were biopsied on each side and that they were normal and healthy.
Even if I don't get pregnant, I will know I did everything I could possibly do; then I will be ok with it.

Ladylegend,
I had my Tr surgery by Dr. Berger in April this year. I got pregnant but am now in process of losing the pregnancy. I am going to the doctor in the morning to decide how to handle it medically. I would do it again in less than a minute. I do not regret my decision at all.

I am 37 and just delivered a healthy baby boy nine days ago. I had my tubal reversal by Dr. Berger on 11/10/2003 and found out I was pregnant on 12/10/2003.

Hi I had my tubal reversal by Dr. Berger on 1-24-03 R4.25 L3.0.I got pregnant 4 months after my TR but miscarried due to immune issues. Seven months later we got pregnant again and all is going great and I am 38.We will be having a baby girl EDD 11-3-04.

Go look at the After Tubal Reversal Board. There are at least 4 ladies including myself that have gotten pregnant this month and who are over 36. At least 4!!!
It can happen for you too.

Hi Tracy,
63% of our patients in your age range are pregnant within the first year! Take a look at Dr. Berger's pregnancy statistics.

One of my TR friends just turned 43 and also just found out that she is pregnant!
There are LOTS of women your age and older who are getting pregnant after a tubal reversal. I myself am 40, and believe that it will happen for me one day, too!

Hi Jill,
....at age 39 you're a lot younger than some of us! Many of us are in the "40's Club" and we're having tubal reversal and they do work!!!! I had mine reversed last march....age 42....and 17 yrs after my tubal ligation was performed! Go for it girl...you'll be so glad you did!

Hi all,
I had my tubal reversal in May 2003 at the age of 38.....
5 weeks later I was pregnant and delivered a BIG baby boy within 10 months of my surgery at the tender age of 39.
It can be done !!!
You can achieve !!!
Heck, I even recently stopped back by Chapel Hill to show him off to Dr. Berger and some of the girls !!!

I am 36 and had my tubes cut and burned. I was wondering if anyone out there has had the same and what results you had after your reversal. I am thinking about going to Dr. Berger and having reversal surgery but am afraid I've gotten too old. Dr. Berger says my tube length is good and shouldn't be a problem but I am worried.
