Mrs.Brown	Hi ladies. I'm a 30 year old woman living in Arkansas. I had 2 children before my TL which was done in 1998. Since, I have remarried and would like to have a child with my new husband. I haven't scheduled an appointment for the TR yet but will be doing so possibly next year when I have the money. (I wish it could be sooner.) I've looked around and it sounds like Dr. Berger is the person to go to for TR surgery. My BMI is 24.2. I also had a C-section with my first child in 1996. I guess I'm just wondering what my chances are. I do plan to send my operative report to Dr. Berger as soon as I dig it out. It sounds like many of you have had a great experience with the surgery and actually becoming pregnant afterwards. I'm excited but nervous. Are there any tips, warnings or suggestions that any of you have for me?
John, CST	Mrs.Brown, Welcome to the message board and congratulations on the decision to have a TR! Dr. Berger is certainly the best doctor to perform your tubal surgery. Our pregnancy stats currently show a 77% pregnancy rate for women under the age of 30. This is based on cases that have been performed by Dr. Berger and documented through on-going follow-up with his patients. Digger	Hello Mrs.Brown - Our stories sound very similiar. I too had 2 children before having the TL and am now remarried to a wonderful man who didn't have any children of his own. Notice I said "didn't"? We just had our TR son July 9th and to say we are thrilled would be a major understatement. I had my TR 2/2/05 and did conceive 10 cycles later even with one blocked tube. Do send in your post op report and see what Dr Berger has to say about your tubes. Keep in mind that he CAN repair 95% of all women who do send in their reports. Best of luck! Angela
Jennifer K.	Mrs. Brown, You've definitely come to the right place. Dr. Berger and his staff are the BEST! We had our TR in August, 2005. Everything about the experience was prefect. The staff is wonderful and they take excellent care of both you and DH while you're there. For myself, I got pregnant in June of this year. Unfortunately, we miscarried but that had nothing to do with Dr. Berger or the TR. My progesterone was too low. If you're interested in the details of Dr. Berger's success you can check out the pregnancy statistics and weekly pregnancy reports pages of his site. As for tips, warnings or suggestions. I would say one of the first things I would do (that I did do) was learn as much as you can about your cycle. Pick up a copy of The Couple's Guide To Fertility. It's a great book that will teach you everything you need to know. Also, sign up for an account on something like fertilityfriend.com and start charting your cycle. Once you have the TR you'll want to start using ovulation predictor kits to pinpoint your best days for getting pregnant. I started using the OPKs even before my TR so that once I'd had the surgery we could get started TTC right away. Of course, the best thing to do is hang out around here and ask questions. All of us are ready and willing to help and there is no question to stupid to ask. All of us started out where you are and for most of us the support of this board is what got us through some tough times. Welcome! Jenn
