Aside from its simpler and natural approach to having a baby, tubal reversal performed by Dr. Berger costs less than the alternative treatment of IVF. The reduced cost for tubal reversal by Dr. Berger is $5900 and by Dr. Monteith is $5400 compared with the average cost in the US of $10,000 or more for a single IVF treatment cycle. In most cases, IVF has to be repeated several times while tubal reversal is a one time procedure. Furthermore, pregnancy and birth rates are higher after tubal reversal than after IVF.

Insurance reimbursement

Whether an insurance company will cover the cost of a tubal reversal varies among different carriers. Some insurance companies may cover all or part of the cost of tubal ligation reversal, although most do not.

To find out if you may be eligible for reimbursement, provide your insurance company with the diagnosis and procedure codes. The diagnosis code (ICD-9) for bilateral tubal occlusion is 628.2. The procedure code (CPT) for tubal anastomosis is 58750.

What is included in the fee

Our all inclusive fee includes preoperative review of your medical records, preoperative consultation, surgeon’s fee, anesthesiologist’s fee, operating room and surgical supply costs, postoperative antibiotics and pain relieving medications, and long term follow-up by our staff after your surgery. Since everything is included, there are no hidden costs to surprise you or bills arriving after your tubal reversal surgery.

Reduced and Standard Fees

The all-inclusive cost for tubal reversal performed by Dr. Berger is $5900 when payment is made in full within 24 hours after scheduling your surgery. This is a $1000 reduction from the standard fee. The standard fee does not require full payment at the time of scheduling. The corresponding fees for Dr. Monteith are reduced a further $1000. Installment payments

With this option, you can pre-pay the surgical fee in installments without interest prior to the surgery date. With a $250 deposit, you can open an account in your name and send additional payments of any amount whenever you wish. You do not have to wait until the balance is paid to schedule surgery, however, the full fee is due at least three weeks prior to the surgery date that you schedule.
