Essure can be a good form of birth control for many women but a few women will experience abnormal symptoms after their Essure coils have been inserted.
For many these symptoms will improve after insertion but for some the Essure side-effects will persist.
Many women will be told by their doctors removing the coils is not possible or too difficult. Some will be told there is nothing that can be done other than a hysterectomy. One such patient is Kathyrn.
In a previous article, Problems WIth Essure: Kathyrn’s Personal Story, Kathyrn shared her story for the benefit of others,
She now provides readers with a follow-up as to how she is doing since her Essure removal procedure.
Problems WIth Essure
Kathyrn had her Essure procedure and within hours started experiencing pain, cramping, and nausea. Her symptoms did not go away but gradually became worse. Her doctor was unable to provide assistance and within 2 months Kathyrn made the decision to have the Essure coils removed.
She wanted to share with others how she has done since her coil removal surgery.
“In the weeks following my surgery, the negative symptoms I experienced following the Essure procedure all went away and I was just left with some post-op discomfort and recovery.
I followed all the post-op directions to a “T” and began walking as soon as I could. Within 5 weeks time I was back to my training and successfully completed the last two triathlons I had planned for the season. I am 100% convinced that without getting the help I did from A Personal Choice, my health would have continued to decline and I would have faced the probability of a hysterectomy and a loss of the active lifestyle that I had prior to Essure.
I can’t thank you enough for doing what you do. I continue to battle the insurance industry and their focus on “codes” vs. what really happened, but nothing worth winning comes easy right?”
Kathyrn’s comments are similar to many of the comments shared by previous patients who have come to our center for Essure removal and Essure reversal surgery.
Treatment For Essure Side-Effects: Essure removal
If you are suffering from Essure related side-effects then we encourage you to speak with your doctor. Often some other cause can be identified. If the problems are related to the Essure, these symptoms should improve gradually over time.
If the symptoms do not improve then you may need to consider Essure coil removal. We perform this surgery at our center as a 45 minute out-patient procedure. We also perform Essure reversal if a patient wants to be able to become pregnant again.
If you are suffering from side-effects and need help with Essure problems then we encourage you to call our office at (919) 968-4656 and a member of our staff can provide you with assistance.
