Dr. Gary Berger started the reversal center and he exclusively offered tubal ligation reversal and surgery for blocked tubes to his patients. In 2008, I, Dr. Monteith, joined Dr. Berger as a reproductive surgeon and worked alongside him for five years. Since joining Dr. Berger, I have performed over 1500 tubal reversal surgeries and my babies have been affectionately referred to as ‘Monteith Miracles’. Together we have worked side-by-side continually learning from each other and improving upon our surgical techniques.
During the time I worked at the center with Dr. Berger several important milestones were passed.

Dr. Monteith becomes Medical Director
In May of 2013, Dr. Berger stepped down as medical director of A Personal Choice to become Director of Research. He stopped accepting new patients so he could focus exclusively on analyzing the growing data in his pregnancy database, which contains information on over 10,000 patients.
I have continued to do surgery in the center since he stepped down and on December 19th, 2013, I performed the last tubal reversal surgery in the facility which was originally created by Dr. Berger and was located on Conner Drive in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
CHTRC has moved to Raleigh North Carolina!
Future patients should not be disappointed because A Personal Choice has moved just 20 miles away to Raleigh, North Carolina.
The center is in a new location and patients will be able to choose between two luxurious hotels located in the boutique North Hills Mall shopping center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Patients will be in close proximity to the new A Personal Choice and will be within walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, and places of entertainment.
