Good afternoon! I hope this finds you doing as well as I am!
Today is day 6 postop. I am living life as if I hadn’t even had this wonderful surgery (with the exception of exercise). I’m not doing the P90X..smiles, but I am out and about walking several miles a day!
From the moment I began calling A Personal Choice to research your office, I was welcomed with friendly voices and helpful information. I feel more than confident we chose the ONLY option for us. After looking into other tubal reversal hospitals/facilities there was no comparison to CHTRC.
I appreciate CHTRC website because it is thorough. Shawn and I had watched the videos that were on the site, we chatted with others on the message boards, we looked at all the provided links! The site provided information for everything from airport info, transportation, the hotel… It took away all the guess and leg! Shawn and I spent so much time researching and making sure we were making a well informed choice.
The morning of consultation with CHTRC Shawn and I had felt as if we had already been there and met everyone! I had a real sense of peace with all of this.
The surgery was fantastic, although that sounds strange, what I mean is ‘it was smoother than vacation!” I was never in pain, never stressed, it was all planned out and went like clock work! I had mild cramping after our tubal ligation reversal~ nothing like what my cycles have been though! I took all my meds like I was instructed. On day 3 postop the only med I felt like I needed was Ibuprofen.
After surgery, and a long nap, I was up walking around the hotel and been walking around everyday since!
Shawn and I went into this whole experience with eyes wide open. We know that although the surgery was a success, we may or may not be able to conceive, but at least now we have to CHANCE and HOPE to add to our family. I have the upmost respect for Dr.Monteith and CHTRC staff.
Thank you Dr. Monteith and all providing caregivers for literally EVERYTHING!
