Early Pregnancy Bleeding: On Bed Rest!

On Aug 10th 2016 at 7 weeks and 1 day, I experienced some light bleeding that lasted maybe 4 hours and probably only 1-2 teaspoons in amount. However I proceeded to go to the ER to have an ultrasound done, found out at that time a fetus and a heartbeat of 138bpm!
We had yet to see anything but a gestational sac until then. Bed rest was ordered for 2- 3 days- and after resting, no bleeding has continued throughout the rest days.
