Reversing The Effects of Essure
Essure reversal surgery is performed every week at our speciality center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Most health care providers believe Essure reversal is not possible and the only alternative to Essure reversal is in-vitro fertilization. This is not correct.
At A Personal Choice we were the first to report successful reversal of Essure in the medical literature. Since our initial reports we have performed over 170 surgeries to remove the Essure devices. We perform Essure reversal in our outpatient ambulatory surgical facility. The surgery lasts about 80 minutes and patients return to the local hotel for their recovery. Patients are then seen in the office the day after surgery for a postoperative discussion with Dr. Monteith. Patients can attempt to become pregnant as soon as they feel comfortable and most patients will become pregnant within the first year of having Essure reversal surgery.
Is it possible to reverse Essure sterilization?
It is possible to reverse Essure and we were the first to prove it could be done. We like to track the success of all our patients and we have taken the time to document each and everyone of our Essure reversal babies.
