It has been 11 days since my tubal reversal and I have to sincerely thank you because this is the best I have felt in 4.5 years. I have had severe joint pain, tendonitis, muscle cramps, and extreme fatigue (along with a host of gyno symptoms-too many to mention) since my tubal ligation. It would be impossible to describe how my life had deteriorated over the last few years. Each year, the symptoms were worse.
Prior to the ligation, I was a medical practice consultant and owned a clothing store. I was full of energy, healthy, active, and never took prescription meds. I was never the sort of person to let an illness stand in my way. When my joint pain and fatigue progressed to the point where it was completely disrupting my life, I went through 4 rheumatologists, 3 gynos, 3 internal medicine specialists, and countless pcps. All offered a cocktail of prescriptions which I knew had harmful side effects. Eventually, I had to take an assortment just to function throughout the day. I have a family history of autoimmune diseases (including r.a., lupus, etc) however, my lab tests always reflected normal igg/igm/ana results. With my history working with physicians, I knew the repeated normal lab tests would categorize me as either a histrionic patient or pain med seeker. A few years ago, I realized I was not able to keep up with the demands of my businesses and was forced to sell out. The loss of my business income and the mounting medical bills had devastating effects financially.
One day, it occurred to me my gyno symptoms and joint pain could be related. My rheumatologists have never inquired about any gyno symptoms I was having nor did my gynos inquire about my joint issues in any great detail. A quick google search led me to your website and I was pretty confident I knew the reason why I was suffering. My husband and I were still somewhat skeptical that a reversal could really provide me any relief. Yet, 11 days post op and I have not had to take any medication. I cannot believe my energy level; I now realize what it is like to be ‘normal’. Tasks, such as unloading the dishwasher, would honestly make me tired. Whether your practice posts PTLS information as a clever marketing plan or if you honestly believe PTLS exists, you are assisting so many women in getting help with this devastating condition and I thank you. Thank you!
