Ectopic Pregnancy Quickly Followed By Normal Pregnancy
I had my tubal reversal surgery on 6-03-20. On 07-26-20, I got a positive pregnancy test. I immediately started having hcg draws done and we knew something wasn’t right with the pregnancy, my levels weren’t progressing like they should and my progesterone level was extremely low.
On 08-20-20 it was confirmed I had an ectopic pregnancy so my doctor and I decided methotrexate was the right route to go. My husband and I were heart broken but we both reminded each other that this was a risk with having tubal reversal.
On 09-20-20 I took an at home test and it was positive. Doctor confirmed with an hcg draw that I was pregnant and then my second hcg draw my levels had more than doubled and my progesterone levels indicated what should be a successful pregnancy.
I am extremely thankful for Dr. Monteith and his team for this amazing gift. For anyone thinking about tubal reversal don’t let fear stop you from going through with it.
