A Man’s Perspective About Tubal Reversal

Life makes unexpected turns. I certainly didn’t expect to meet Sheryl. I certainly didn’t expect to fall in love. This brief story from a father’s perspective will probably resonate with some of you.

Getting Married

Sheryl and I became engaged and we married – she is after all the most wonderful lady in the world. That engagement and resulting marriage included her three kids from a previous life – I had no kids of my own and I thought providing for those children would satisfy a personal void. Sheryl had her tubes cut and burned many years prior thus making her unable to bear future children.

Restoring Fertility After Tubes Cut and Burned

I performed an internet search and discovered the A Personal Choice. After careful consideration we both decided to give the tubal reversal procedure a try with an organization that we felt had the most experience in performing the outcome we desired. That outcome of course was a new child.

As a result of the reversal procedure, we now have two incredible children: a boy (Gavin James – Born August 2005) and a girl (Anna Elizabeth – Born October 2009).

Having a Purpose in Life

As a father, I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to simply stick a band-aid on a scraped leg – don’t get me started on the joy I feel when my son tells me “happy father’s day” – I now worry about grades, health, appearances, etiquette, and college – it is truly wonderful – and it goes on and on…

It is wonderful because I now have a purpose in life that wasn’t there before…and there really is no greater purpose in my life than to provide for the well being of my own children. I watched them both come out of the womb – I have guided their development ever since – it has been profound.

Dreams Do Come True

The summary of this story is plainly simple: if my situation sounds familiar, then just do it – Our visit with Dr. Berger was without doubt the best decision my wife and I have ever made. I simply cannot express the joy I feel each and every single day for having my two children. Dreams do come true.
