Tubal Ligation Reversal Procedure : Georgia Peach Travels For Reversal

tubal-reversal-patient-geor8I had to work the day we were supposed to leave for North Carolina. I thought the day would never end. All of my coworkers knew I was having surgery and wouldn’t be back for a week. A few asked me questions, I tried not to think too much about the surgery because I was very nervous about it. My boss left halfway through the day to go pick up some things for the office. I was glad for the small break to mentally regroup to get through the rest of the day.

Tubal Reversal Going Away Party

As I mentioned, I work in a vet clinic, and I wandered to the back to watch our lead tech tubing a dog for a procedure. I joked ” Hey, that’ll be me Thursday!” My friend Heather hugged me and assured me all would go well. I went back to the front to get some final tasks done and by then my boss was back and my husband, Kevin,  had dropped in also. I wondered why Kevin was hanging around… then my boss, and every other person in the clinic came up to the front with a box of food stuffs to make quick dinners for my family while I was recovering. They had a card everyone had signed to wish me well. Yep, you guessed it- I cried!

Tubal Reversal Procedure: My Mother Finally Gives In

On the way home I called my mom, we talked for a while. She told me to have my husband call her as soon as he could to let her know things were well. She hadn’t been really open to this whole idea of having a tubal ligation reversal procedure and had reluctantly given her support once she knew how determined I was to do this. She told me her only issue with this now was she couldn’t go with me. How wonderful to hear this from her.

Tubal Reversal Surgery: Brings Me Closer to Kevin

I got home to find Kevin had already loaded the truck up and was ready to go. We settled the kids in with my sister and her husband, who were watching over things for us, and off we went!

It seems that, if nothing else, this surgery has given Kevin and I a chance to really explore and express our feelings, thoughts, plans and dreams for the future in ways we hadn’t thought possible before.

We had an eight hour drive ahead of us. We stopped at the Varsity in downtown Atlanta for dinner, and talked about everything under the sun.

It turned out to be a wonderful day!

On The Road For Tubal Reversal Surgery

I am writing this section of my blog from the backseat of my Expedition somewhere on I-85 north of Greenville, South Carolina. I feel nervous, excited, scared, thrilled- so many emotions all at once. I can’t seem to relax enough to rest, so here I sit blogging away and cursing the state of South Carolina for their bumpy roads! I can’t wait until tomorrow to meet Dr. Monteith, Pam Mills, and  the rest of the staff at A Personal Choice. I hope to meet some board buddies also during my stay. So I will call it a night for tonight, and update tomorrow on how the presurgery consultation went. Good night!
