Hi again, All is well, and Eli has made it home.
He came home on Saturday 9/25 at 7 weeks old (35w 3d gestation). He has been through a lot. At two weeks old he got a UTI that caused him to have a lot of brady’s and apnea episodes and the nurse practitioner called me in the middle of the night and told me that he had to get a blood transfusion and that things were not looking good. That night he had about 20+ events during the night shift. But he was a fighter and after the blood transfusion and antibiotics for the UTI he started looking better. He was on oxygen, caffeine, antibiotics, vitamins, and iron, and also lasix because of being very puffy. He has since come off of everything except his vitamins with iron and he is doing well with 0.25 oxygen and feedings. He also had a grade 2 IVH that is now clearing up and he passed his hearing tests and has an appointment for the eye doctor Wednesday and his first appointment with his pediatrician Thursday.
I want to thank everyone at A Personal Choice so much for everything because without God and you none of this would have been possible. I really appreciate everything. I now have two tubal reversal babies. Ezekiel born 7/13/09 and Eli born 8/7/2010.
